KING OF THE CASTLE
New for season five is the King of the Castle version of the ladder.
Teams to be built to same level as league teams but will allow players to purchase inducements up to a limit of 1.3 million. Unlike the league, players may use FUMBLL Secret League teams as well. Also no coaches may purchase a statistic increase or random skills.
In this format, three players are "Defenders of the castle". The next highest placed three players will be the Attackers. These will be randomly drawn against the Defenders. The Defenders must declare their team first for each match. If the Defender wins then the Attacker will drop to the bottom of the ladder and gain a Defensive victory point. If the Attacker wins he will take a place on the castle wall and the Defender will drop to the bottom of the ladder. If the game is drawn then player in the lowest group wins. If from same group then the players do not move and no defense points are accumulated.
NEW RULING: If a player successfully defends a castle spot then their next castle defense cannot be using he same race.
The remaining players will challenge those up to 3 spaces above them, starting from the lowest placed available player. The challenged player must declare their team first. If the challenger wins they will take the place occupied by the player they challenged. If the challenged player wins then they will retain their positions. If the game is drawn then player in the lowest group wins. If from same group then the players do not move.
The movement of players will be adjusted in order of the completion of each game.
All players that do not have a listed league game are classified as eligible for King of the Castle. If they are not in attendance for their game then they will automatically drop to the bottom of the ladder starting from the lowest ranked player on the ladder.
At the end of the season the player who has defended the castle the most times will be crowned King of the Castle. If two players are tied then a single game will be played to decide the King of the Castle. If more than two players are tied then the two lowest placed players in the league will play for the crown.

All players using a stunty team for King of the Castle will gain Stunty Points as listed below
Scoring:
League points will be awarded for any achievement listed below
PA/TTM: Successful pass (Landing not required)
INT: Successful interception
LAND: Successful landing
TD: Touchdown
CAS: Casualties caused by the result of a block
KILL: Bonus if casualty results in a death
FOUL: Casualty caused using a foul
SURF: Casualty caused by the crowd
WEAPON: Casualty caused by a weapon (Bomb, Chainsaw, Stab, Vomit, Lethal Flight or Saboteur)
Double points scored if defending a Castle spot
Final league position will be based on the total number of league points at the end of the regular season.
The two highest scoring players will face off for the Stunty Cup. Both players must use Stunty teams for this game. If, due to tied scores, more than 2 players are eligible to play for the Stunty Cup then tie-break will be that the lowest positioned players in the leagues will take preference.
